Student Senate- Get to Know South Hills!
Our Student Senate is working in multiple ways to serve our school. The students believe that getting to know the South Hills teachers, staff, clubs and opportunities will help to foster a sense of community. The Get to Know South Hills committee would like to present: The Cafeteria Staff
What led you to this type of work?
- Cassandra loves being around kids. She was a foster parent for 29 years. After that, she wanted something productive and fulfilling to do after she retired.
- Kathy wanted this job because it allowed her to spend time with her kids and it fit into her busy schedule.
What is your favorite part of your job?
- Cassandra’s favorite part of her job is watching the excitement on children's faces at the snack bar and when they come in see what is for lunch.
- Kathy’s favorite part of her job is getting to know all of the kids at South Hills.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of school?
- Cassandra’s favorite thing to do outside of school is go to dinner. She loves exploring new restaurants, especially the newer restaurants in downtown Detroit.
- When Kathy has free time, she loves taking her kids to the movies, bowling, and doing holiday activities.
