South Hills Middle School

In the Fall of 2023, South Hills Middle School proudly unveils its brand-new campus. This cutting-edge facility boasts adaptable classroom furniture, versatile common areas, upgraded music and art studios, and advanced technology integrated into every learning space.

Student Senate

Students cross 6-8th grades make up the student senate which takes an active role in promoting a positive and inclusive school environment. They focus on addressing issues like anti-bullying and fostering a sense of community within the school.

International Baccalaureate

South Hills is a fully-authorized Middle Years Programme school of the world-recognized IBO providing a comprehensive interdisciplinary curriculum framework. The curriculum is designed around eight subject groups: language and literature, language acquisition, individuals and societies, design, mathematics, arts, science, and physical education and health.

Renovated Classrooms and Learning Spaces

In order to foster deep learning, care for children's well-being, and meet the needs of all students, classrooms are designed with a focus on active learning, future-proof design, and synergy with research-based teaching practices.

Due to the popularity of our 8th grade Washington DC field trip, we are now at capacity for our first three buses, and a wait-list has been formed for a fourth bus for the experience.

The trip dates are April 30-May 3rd, 2025. If you are still interested in signing up your student, please register as soon as possible so that we may reach the required amount for an additional bus!
